Use Trabasack as a play high chair tray!

Whether you’re planning some fun play time or yummy dinner time, you need a high chair tray for your high chair. Although most models come with one these days, some are still made without an attachable tray and for these chairs; you should definitely consider using your Trabasack as a portable high chair tray. Whenever my daughter and me go out, whether it’s for food or meeting up for coffee with a friend, our Trabasack comes with us. A standard tray-less highchair

When eating out with a young child it can be difficult to manoeuvre the high chair and feed them. Since my daughter has been able to sit up and use a highchair, we’ve had huge trouble when out and about as most high chairs in restaurants don’t have trays and the chair itself is either too high or too low for the table level. This usually results in me having to hold my daughter to feed her, therefore letting my food go cold! The answer of course (if I’d actually thought of it sooner, I’d be better off) is using my Trabasack as a high chair feeding tray.

Sometimes the tray itself is of dubious cleanliness and you would just rather have your own portable high chair tray that you can use!

Having already used my Trabasack as a food tray at home, it was easy to try it out as a high tray feeding tray whilst out and about with great results. Our Trabasack in use as a buggy tray!

If you’ve got a little boy or girl who’s not yet steadily walking and still needs their buggy when you’re out and about, then chances are there are times you need to keep them entertained. To be fair, nobody finds grocery shopping or a trip round the DIY store fun so imagine how boring it is when you’re trapped in a buggy with nothing to do!

There’s no need to worry, Trabasack is a great way of giving your child a range of toys and games to play with whilst sat in the comfort of their buggy. If your child is anything at mine, they’ll desperately be trying to escape from the buggy at all times so a great lap tray packed with their favourite toys is a great way to keep them occupied.

When me and my daughter go out, I attach the Trabasack easily to the front of the buggy and choose a few of her favourite toys to attach to it. I have a Trabasack Curve Connect which comes with a fantastic soft surface which allows for Velcro tapes to be used. These Velcro tapes mean I can attach the toys securely to the Trabasack and my little girl can play with them as we move without throwing them out of the pram every two seconds (I’m sure you know how annoying that gets).

-Fluffy Toy – a small fluffy toy is always one of our favourites. As she’s very young, my daughter loves getting to know new textures andsoft toys are among her very favourite for stroking and touching.

- Mini Abacus or moving beads – we have a mini abacus which my daughter loves to play with. She loves moving the beads from one side to another and this could easily be replicated with a homemade model.

- Velcro rattles – these are usually designed to have placed around the wrist or ankle but you can just easily stick them to your Trabasack Connect surface and play with them this way!

Sensory play is one of the most valuable things you can do with your child. Setting up a sensory play tray doesn’t need to be difficult or expensive, in fact you can easily get together some bits for a fantastic play tray in a matter of minutes. For our sensory play tray me and my daughter use our fantastic Trabasack. The Trabasack as a multipurpose bag and tray which we can easy attach to our buggy and then play can begin. My daughter isn’t old enough to sit up unaided so it allows her to enjoy all the fun of sensory play in the comfort of her buggy. Our favourites include Snack tube shakers (filling cardboard tubes with dry peas or lentils), Homemade play dough (we used mashed up oats, flour and water – don’t try and store this in your Trabasack) and of course bubbles (generally washing up liquid). These are just a few options you could consider for your sensory play tray. One of our other favourite props for sensory play is the common sock! Filling a sock with lentils, smelly pot pourri or paper can provide a great experience for all the senses, from crackly paper to sweet smelling flowers, socks are great fun and really economical. You can store your whole range of sensory socks in your Trabasack and keep them for every play session.

“I was lucky enough to be asked to review the Trabasack . I must admit I had never heard of them before and was intrigued to find out more about the Trabasack.

When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised first impressions I thought it was just a laptop tray but how wrong I was, its that and a lot more. This bag is so versatile and has so many uses. The design has been so well thought out all possible scenario’s have been covered. I was lucky to get a waterproof mat with my curve connect bag. As it says on the packaging the Lap Tray bag is light and streamlined.

The first thing that struck me about this bag was its size it was large enough for a laptop but not overpowering. We used the Trabasack in a variety of ways. I found that I can carry it on the back of my Maclaren Major Elite buggy quite easy and put my essentials in for a day out but then the clever thing my daughter could use the bag as a lap tray so she was able to eat her lunch in her buggy rather than messing about getting her out for lunch another stress that’s been taken away. Making day out more pleasant. Baby Chair Tray

Also we found another use for it my 11 month old baby has mobility problems and is unable to sit in a high chair so misses out with playing at a table. Well with the Trabasack this problem is solved. I attach it to his baby chair and hey presto he has an immediate table and he is able to sit and play with his toys etc.

How is this made possible the Trabasack has a bean bag inside its inner pocket with makes it comfortable to sit on your knee and the beans disperse to mould to the contour of your legs thus giving you a stable surface. If you use it with the pvc waterproof mat that fits perfectly to the laptray bag you not only help keep the Trabasack clean but you now have a spill proof surface which allows you have a drink on the trabasack , so no more stretching over to reach your drink.

I would highly recommend this to anyone that has mobility issues for me this bag has become so invaluable not only for using as a lap top tray but also as a play table for my baby so thank you Trabasack for introducing me to such a wonderful product.
